TVR North West Extravaganza

Blackpool 4th/5th September 2010

Featuring:

"The Peter Wheeler SprintTrophy",

"The Martin Lilley Concours Cup"

& "The Trevor Wilkinson Trophy"

The event will be based at a large Blackpool hotel where a dinner/dance will be held on the Saturday night.

Details are still in the discussion/research stages but the intention is to hold "The Peter Wheeler Sprint" along the promenade wall (subject to Blackpool Council approval) on the SaturdayWith a rumble alonng the Promenade on Sunday to an autotest either at Bristol Avenue or another venue.

Numerous other activies include, 'The Martin Lilley Concours Cup' judged by the man himself, TVT timeline, static and live demos of race cars, skid control demos, trade stands and a charity raffle nominated by Vicky Wheeler.

This will be moved into the events forum in due course but is being posted here to answer the questions being asked about what the club is doing to honour the memory of Peter Wheeler.

Oohhh.........Sounds good, we'll look forward to that. Just hope it doesn't clash with the 2010 race calendar. I wouldn't mind a blast up the lower prom with the Taz racer if I'm allowed.

Perhaps it's far enough in advance to make sure it doesn't clash as I'm sure we want to see as many Tuscan Challenge cars running as possible.

Just off the top of my head maybe a 'TVRCC Sprint' could co-incide with the event? We are working with Myerscough college locally who have a very active motorsports course/team and they may possibly have access to a local venue for that.

Again this is all dependant on the local authority giving us permission, we've just chosen to announce the event so soon because of the questions being asked about a PW memorial
