seat belt problem

My seatbelt decided to pop open during full throttle earleir today and now will not lock so makes any journey illegal. Anyone know how to fix? Pictures would useful!

What do you mean by pop?

Do you mean the belt clip wont engage in the holder on your left hand side?

I'd try WD40 or something, it may just be stuck. If its broken....

They are a standard securon part but come with a new belt, I have a couple from replacing mine, if that helps.

Wd40 may help - but for peace of mind ..... should one be involved in an accident your life may depend on it! For my pennyworth, I would change it, one could be in casualty wishing one had.

Managed to get a a replacement part but having one heck of problem trying to get the old stalk out - there does not seem to be enough room to unscrew the retaining bolt without removing the seat. Any suggestions? And if it is removing the seat then how?

Hi,taking the seat out is quite easy.Just four 13mm nuts underneath.You need a deep socket because the threads that come through the floorpan are quite long. Dave.

Pretty sure I just slid the seat forward to give you more distance to the sill..
