Just finished reading this tonight.What a wondeful obituary and well done to all involved at Sprint, a truely magnificent tribute. It makes your realise just how much Peter acheived and how many he inspired. A turely epic life.

I'm looking at the article now.
The post arrived last night and I began to read the article - some lovely stories that I'd not previously heard about Peter - and then when I got to page 4 I nearly choked. That fat bloke in the white T-Shirt, sharing a beer with PW in the Le Mans campsite. That's me!
I didn't know him and I'm sure he didn't know who I was, other than it was me who'd designed some 'team' shirts for the Staffordshire TVR contingent - which made rather impolite reference* to the fact that the Bentleys running that year were merely Audis in drag - and somehow Peter and the race team had seen them and got hold of our spares. I'm told some of the drivers actually raced with them on under their overalls!
I'm honoured to have made it into the great man's obit and I use the term great unreservedly. He was and still is one of my heroes.
