Cross posting from T350 forum in case anyone can help;
Since having experienced a fairly bad water leak (drivers side footwell) a couple of things have developed;
1. Aircon stops and starts (and I've just left it not working at all now). It was behaving very strangely prior to seemingly now being dead - when I changed the temperature control the fan speed leds would go down to 1 and then after a second or two they would go back to what they were set at.
2. When starting the car, the petrol pump starts and then splutters and stops (this is what I'm hearing anyway). The car still starts though so I guess it must be working. I just can't hear it anymore just before firing up.
I'm beggining to think the carpets are not the only thing that got wet in that downpour. My best guess (bear with me) is either water on the electrics under the bonnet (not sure how that could happen though?) or water/damp on the fuses?
Anyone any ideas? I'm supposed to do a 100 mile trip to my brothers tomorrow and I'm starting to think about taking a different car?

Can't help the Q about aircon (but probaly not a critical issue at this time of the year although condensation from the wet foot well might be a problem
open window).
Re noise from petrol pump, surely this is normal. It activates to pressurize the system and then cuts out.
If there are symptoms of dampness then I say use the journey to dry it out. Hope you have an uneventful journey!

Had this problem a few weeks back...

Before you do anything remove all the relays and dry them near a radiator overnight.
I don't know if the ECU in yours is the same as a Chimaera... If it sitting in the footwell, then you will have to open it up, and make sure that you dry the inside of the ECU.
As for the Splutter you getting, I had the same thing, I would suggest not starting the car again until every thing is dry. If the relay for the fuel pump primer has been under water, then it would have kept the fuel pump priming on constant. When you are sure that its not an ECu fault, start the car, it will splutter and fart for maybe 30mins, and it will idle pretty bad, give it little revs, keeping the max rev ~ 3-4K rpm. Make sure theres nothing behind the car, as I had flames shooting out of mine as it burned of all the excess fuel in the exhaust system.
Any questions email me via my profile. I hope you get it sorted soon.

Aircon will "cycle" on and off like a fridge as it cools, reaches correct temp, then turns off- this is normal.
The cabin cooling fan will stop when you change the temp dial- this is normal.
Fuel pump primes for about 3 seconds then stops- this is normal too.
There's nothing in the drivers footwell (unless the water was three feet deep) that could be affected by a bit of water. I've the same leak from my drivers door (it's dropped slightly) and I've had no problems apart from a wet carpet.
Hope this helps.

That's normal, its the fuel pump building up presure, no need to woryy about that one

James here:
Neil don't worry...
1) The Aircon always cuts the fan speed down to one LED when making changes to the temperature position of the air flap. After the temp change has been carried out the fan speed returns. It takes longer to return the more dramatic the temp change.
It does it to ensure there is no damage to the flap and is perfectly normal.
2) The fuel pump will make a noise when you firts turn the ignition on. This occurs as the pump builds preasure up in the fuel system. If trhe engine isn't running there is no where for it to go and the pump noise stops as preasure is reached.
This is normal. Some electric pumps are noiser / different. My landrover clicks quite audably. If it didn't slowdown/stop clicking I'd be worried that theres fuel pissing somewhere if the engine weren't running.
Hope this puts your mind at rest Neil.
P.S. Water in the footwell is definately not normal

Hi
It sounds very much like your A/C is " short cycling " if it is doing this thenyou have lost refrigerent, and the compressor is cutting out on its LP protection switch ( low pressure) again if this is the case then you have a leak so don't just go and get the system gassed its expensive especially if its synthetic.
To make a sure test put your A/C to manual and run it for some time the air outlet temperature should be between 8 & 10 degrees if it does not maintain this temperature then it does sound like loss of gas , usally the condenser.
If it does infact maintain this low temperature then look to the climate controls having got wet , I have to say its usally lack of gas , good luck
