Tyres Again Avon ZZ3

Does anyone have any experience of the AVON ZZ3 Tyre, good or bad please..I thought they were good value at under £100 each and with a Y speed rating..............

I've had them on the Tusc for a while now and they are very good for the money. Also seem to be lasting a long time too, maybe i'm not giving them enough stick!

My mate runs them on his cerb too

All in all i rate them..

I have had ZV3 tyres on my Golf for 100K (No, not the same set), but very happy with them. Long lasting, wear well, and I like them.

Got the Chim last year, and just put 2 x ZZ3 on the rears, done 2K and happy so far. Good value amd if they are as good as on the Golf, I'll be very happy.

as they are a track day tyre, are they not made out v soft compound which whilst nice and sticky does not last v high mileages ?????

My last set of trackday tyres (Kumho Ecsta V70A), used only for road use only lasted 2.5k - 3k.... or may be it's my driving ???

Track day tyre? I wasnt sold them as that either.

I asked for a good all rounder, and after the experience on my other car, went for ZZ3. Yes, I know there are stickier, grippier and more track oriented road tyres available, but its not what I wanted.

Well you lot got me doubting my memory, as I'm sure the ZZR was a tyre I considered ...... anyway I'm glad that I aint got to be sent a home yet as this is what Avon say about the ZZR......

We also have a set on the front of the S40, The Goodyears on the back break away alot quicker than the fronts. Wet grip is reasonable. Even handled the stty snow rather well earlier this year!
