Finally getting some time to pay the Tuscan some TLC. Re-did all the roof seals this weekend and now looking to re-do rear screen seals.

When the rear screen sticks to the window it has pulled off the seal from the car – what glue should I be using to stick the rubber/foam seal back on? I assume Superglue is not correct?

Buying silicon spray tonight (good ol screwfix) to prevent the problem in the future.

There is a black gunk a bit like bathroom sealant made for this it dries to touch in about five minutes and stayes semi soft so will move with the rubber any good motor factors will carry it my son got some from were he works F1 team, its realy very good stuff and looks neat once its on. I took my old strip right off cleanes out all the old glue and then a good bead of this with the rubber pushed into place and then you can clean off the excess with a damp rag. Sorry cant remember the name of it??

Sikaflex 291 is the stuff you want. Found in boat chandlers.

Its about £10 from flea bay - sound about right?

No boat chandlers round here!

If I wanted to get my hands on something quickly I assume a motorfactor will have something adequate or should I hold out for sikaflex (I have heard they are decent products)

I would rather do this properly once than the same time next year.

£10 sounds right, probably the best stuff for the job and avoids you needing to do the job again as you say.

Excellent, thanks all.

So this stuff would have been better for sticking the 'U' shaped rubber strip to the back of my Tuscan roof as well.....better than the superglue I ended up using?!

So happy I'm finally getting round to sorting these things!

Thanks for help all.

How on earth do you know these things?
