First negative reaction

After nearly three years of TVR ownership I had my first noticeable negative reaction today.
Having picked the car up from servicing this evening, I chose to take the ‘scenic’ route home. Whilst exiting one of the villages and back in the NSL I was greeted by a lady of more senior years at the end of her drive shaking a fist at me. Quick check of the speedo and I was doing about 45 in third, not excessive, so gave her a smile and
. Her response to this was a two fingered salute, fantastic 
Now I have a new route everywhere I need to go

Lets all go for a drive past her house! I have experienced this, when I was doing 50mph in a 60 limit and I coulsee the bloke called me a C**T.
Unfrtunately for him I saw him at the train station and asked him what he was playing at. His answer was that I was speeding. I said if he swore at me again I would stop and deal with him. Bizarrely he now says hello to me!
Nowt so weird as folk.

I have had people walking by fliping the bird, spitting at the car shouting names etc. Take it all with a pinch of salt as they normally have 9000000 kids around them and are just prime examples of Labors sub human race.
Get far more positive remarks though from men and women of all ages.

We live very close to a primary school and if you happen to be trying to access our road during school run time, it can be a real nightmare; the school run folks are hardly considerate with their parking so I'm always cautious. I always keep the Tiv in 1st gear and stick to 20mph when approaching the road. Of course, this must sound quite loud/fast to the mums who don't know it's just the sound the engine makes at those revs and I regularly get called a w*nker or t*sser for 'speeding' past the school!

I had my first negative comment couple weeks ago. Waiting at traffic lights just below Winchester railway station, next to the Pub on the corner by some “lads” outside having a beer.
That Junction, the lights can take forever to change, so after sitting there for a couple of mins, I just about hear “Bet you got a small penis”, made me chuckle, I looked down at my “Man” area [ roof was off ] turned around, looked at them with a smile, and politely said “No”
Made them laugh a bit.
It is a bit sad though, I have never judged anyone on there car, some cars make me laugh, but never makes me want to give them grief, funny ole world.

Ahh, 'The Albion'. Used to be our Fri night meeting point for a while but thought it was going down hill. I was expecting the same reaction a couple of weeks ago from an old dear but got the total opposite!
Sat at a nice wide juction in the right lane to turn right and at the front of the que, lights changed and off i went, just flicked the tail out alittle as it was wet and spotted this old dear (80 ish) on a mobility scoot on the path, I looked at her expecting the death stare, in return but she smiled and gave me a big thumbs up. Made my day.

My Tiv is the only car I have ever owned that makes people want to stop and chat. Don't let one bad day get to you.
A guy near me lobs spuds at passing Chav's in their Nova's & Saxo's but he stopped me one day and said "my car sounds proper"
Made me smile and I don't have to dodge low flying spuds :-)
