I was driving home from somewhere yesterday when I had flashing interior lights and door solonoid cluncking. Ahh thinks I, I know what that is - dirty contacts on the door light switch. Came home cleaned and WD40'd them both and now all happy again.

The reason for my post? I remembered this being posted before and thinking what a helpful lot Pher's are and how much money that simple fix has saved me.

To you all a very happy New Year and I am not worthy.

Well thank you for posting ...cos that is happening on my Chim right now and i didn't know what it was... i'll check my tomorrow but it'll probably be the same

Glad I could help (albeit via other sources) oggs. Suggest you invest in a few small washers when you unscrew the contacts - you'll know what I mean when you undo them.

In that case, I'd like to say thanks to PH in general for the threads relating to stalling your car on the driveway first thing on a cold winters morning. It meant I knew exactly what to shout out of an upstairs window at Mrs kdd this morning at 7.30 when she did it. (Poor Mrs kdd has to work between xmas and new year, and its her birthday today as well, and I don't so was still in bed).
