Instrument panel fascia - veneer

Recently the top of the dashboard has been taken off and the wood veneer, which had already seen better days has become broken.
I am aware of places that can re-veneer the instrument panel fascia, or alternatively replace with a brush steel/aluminium fascia.
Is anybody aware of anywhere that is able to apply a veneer like appearance, but enamelled onto fascia. My train of thought is that it will look like the genuine article, but does not run the risk of splitting over time/heat.
Has anyone had it done? If so, how much did it cost?

David Gerald TVR did this for me on my old Chim. I had both the dash and smaller panel done about 4 years ago. I think it cost about £300 but they did the removal and fitting as well. The only problem for you is they are in Worcester. I'm sure other companies can do this as David Gerald sent the panels away to have the "veneer applied.
