Speed 12. POA?

hope no one buys it in the next 40 years...That ad reads as though it’s being sold on commission for the owner, not dealer owned stock. I guess it will all depend upon how much the owner needs to sell it.
What intrigues me is the thought of recent developments to the Speed 6. Al Melling and 550bhp for a Speed 6 hopefully means the same upgrade could apply to a Speed 12. 1100bhp should cure the original lack of power.

Note to self, must purchase for next years Cerb Euro trip. 
I was on my holidays in poole last week, with family so sadly no cerb 
We found a leaflet on the Beaulieu car motor show, so thought we'd pop down there for a day out, anyway hows my luck, there it was the speed 12, the one in the link here.
Had a good look round the car & about a 1/2 hr chat with the guy with the car, half way through the conversation i asked what his link with the car was & he told me he owned it.
He told me the storey of how he came to own the car & about a few tussles with the Russian over ownership ... etc... anyway i asked if he was intending to sell at any point or keep it for life & he replied that he would keep the car as long as he has a use for it & if he was no longer in a position where he could own it, he'd prefer sell it & see it used. He didn't at all seem like he was in the market to sell.
An interesting point was i asked how many miles on the clock, he said that it is measured in driving time & rev's & said it has 10hrs on the clock.

I was discussing this car with a friend last week, it's all very well buying it but wtf would you do with it? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own it but if you had that money and had to make the call what would you buy, that or a DBS Aston, or a Ferrari F450?
Everything for the TVR would have to be made bespoke.
How much would insurance be for it?
Something on the engine fails, you'll have to go though the pain of having things cast, machined from solid etc.
At £160k (which was the last I saw it advertised for) it's not a bad deal, however you'd need the same again to run it / keep it running.

I agree!!
The guy said when Peter Wheeler drove it, he said it was too fast & powerful & in the wrong hands would be deadly on the road, so i guess it is suitable for track use only!!
Would be good to see it racing, cars like that are not supposed to be taken around to exhibitions only, well at least not before a good life.
There were many legendary cars there, land speed record breakers etc, but the point is they have done something and then ended up on show. The speed 12 has done very little from what i can gather & seems like it never will!! SAD
