22mm hole required.
I was looking at the products Derek recommends (link below) and I feel tempted to go for a panel push button start mounted on a new Leven steel dash, week after next.22mm hole required.

I really need some help here please, as I am working well away from the car at the moment as to what to order from afar, I have also looked at the excellent article from Bob Smith:
http://www.chimaerapages.com/resources/
My questions are:
1) I already have a dealer fitted rubber type push button start under the dash, so would it just be a case of extending wires from this to a new switch, or do I need more relays?
2) I see the recomended mounting point is to replace the fog light switch, I assume that is because it is closer to the driver. To make it neat I then would use hazard light switch hole to house the removed fog light switch. Mounting the hazards finally with a different style flasher switch, say under dash or steering column which is where hazard flasher switches are located on many other vehicles.
3) What size switch do I buy for the opening, is the opening already 22 mm, or does it need enlarging?
4) Has anyone seen these switches and how do they compare/blend with the factory switches, do they look good, a bit odd or boy racer Halfords?
5) Any real advantages or disadvantages in doing this mod, bearing in mind I already have the common hot start prob addressed?
Any advice from you the experts will be gratefully received, Thanks Retrop
PS. Haven't seen you Derek since we shared a motorway services coffee on the wet morning of London Thunder, hope you are well.

Yes, this is mine, done many years ago (aka tvrbob)
Start Button

Hole size does not need any alteration. I moved the hazard warning switch to the switch point under the dash by the left knee and eliminated the dash light switch
