I spend a lot of time on the road and see all sorts of motorists getting their"kicks" but today i met the KING of all sad bast**ds. This guy drives a white omega sprouting twin aerials,two internal rear view mirrors, and dressed in a white shirt with black tie and epaulettes. For nearly 30 miles he sat on my tail, increasing and decreasing his speed when i did. At one stage i exited and returned to the same dual carriageway, and he followed. Traffic became very heavy as we approached Plymouth and i decided to stop and challenge this "official". Well "official" he was not and as i approached his car he sped of laughing aloud. I hope i dont meet him again. Some sad bast**d

Agreed unfortunatly there are a few people around who like to think they are in the force you know the ones plain white or blue cars/ariels/relective jackets on the parcel shelf and normally doing 69mph on the motor way
even seen one the other day with some thing on his rear shelf which looked like a police sign from a distance

Yes you're not wrong there, it's happened to me
But luckily I managed to get away only through driving like a maniac which still endangered my life

It`s not the first time this has happenend IIRC the offcial line now for loan females is offer to follow the officer to a police station if she suspects some thing out of the norm? I now my wife drives with the doors locked and makes sure no personal belongings are in view .Yes I agree, that's the sensible thing to do these days. I always lock the doors, keep my handbag out of sight and mobile to hand. It doesn't stop them following though

There is a sad git I see sometimes when going through Roehampton who rides a motorbike with white fairing and full screen, fluorescent stripes in the right place on the front fairing, black jacket with fluorescent Sam Browne style belt and a white helmet. First couple of times I saw him at night I thought he was plod, it was only when I saw him a bit closer in daylight I realised he wasn't. Been around for ages though so police must be aware of him, but some people!

I mean lock the doors. Everyone should be locking their doors... unless they want to be carjacked at the red light.
dont think i can do that from the inside of my Chimaera. Its an early model with no button on top of the central door knob.
There used to be a chap in Slough who had a radio scanner and would listen for ambulance calls.
He would then arrive, claiming to be a paramedic and haul an oxy tank out of the book and admister care which he had never been trained to and wait for the ambulance.

Just put it down to Human Nature! It's a sad fact that we'll always meet such people on the roads. Our cars are always going to be attention grabbers regardless of which model TVR we happen to be driving - alas sometimes the attention we get is going to be for the wrong reasons.

Mine is the same.. Theres a button in the dashboard to the left of the heater controls for it instead.

Not sure of the precise date, I think late 93's have it on the doorknob too.. I'm only aware of my car with it in the dashboard so far.

really?? brought the Tiv to work today so going down to the car park to check now!
edited to say - no sign of it in my car. Been through all the buttons i think and never found anything that locks the doors...
