"TVR's love to convoy"

referenced by the Porche driver I work with who has demonstrated a comical view with regard to TVR owners who care to "get themselves a convoy". I'd be interested in any comments from fellow TVR'ers that I could pass on.

I don't mind sharing a convoy with a few Porsches, and Ferrari's, maybe some Lotuses and Lambos, a McClaren, even the odd BM and Merc' ... oh, that'll be the Gumball then

I bet this bloke's got a Boxster - well they wouldn't convoy would they because it would only highlight that they're all the same.

A TVR doesn't set you apart from the crowd - you buy a TVR because you're already different from the flock.

IMO..... People buy TVR's because they love and respect whatever TVR they have and for all the right reasons.

He's obviously not a PCGB member then. You get plenty of Porsche trips/days out/convoy drives to places as a club member - and it works JUST THE SAME EXACTLY AND PRECISELY as the TVRCC....

What I will say is that many Porsche owners are enthusiasts of the marque. Whereas, due to the special considerations owners have to take into account, pretty much ALL TVR owners have to be enthusiasts - almost by definition.

I don't know anyone with a Tivver that doesn't join in social occasions with it. I do know Porsche owners to whom their car is - a vehicle - rather than an object of love, desire and enthusiasm. But don't go making the mistake that this is even a majority of Porsche owners...

Being in the centre of a TVR convoy is something else, the sheer wall of noise you experience from the cars in front and the view in the mirrors cannot be beaten.

Anyway, all the Porker drivers around here drive around in convoy, it's just the odd Ford/Vauxhall thrown in between that confuses them.

Chap I know was buying a Porsche (Boxster) - I asked him what the BHP was - he didn't know

Yet to meet a TVR driver who didn't know the BHP of their car.
