....and the cash, I would start by reintroducing the Griffith, or at the very least that shape, I know sales dwindled for the Griff , could have been down to a number of factors: the financial climate of the time or the lack of upgrades, the build quality of some, all discussed on here before now.
Why couldn’t the Griffith enjoy a rebirth and be in the same bracket as the Cobra, also a great shape? It could still be built at factory or as a supply and self build. Someone should offer a factory/self build just for the Griff shape to start off with, I’d buy one!
I would look at a different engine other than the now discontinued Rover V8 as much as I love it, and although Mr Wheeler (god rest his sole) would have never even considered using a BMW engine (“No German part on my cars”: PW) I would!

Acquire a workshop, acquire the mould and start making it again with a BMW V8 and running gear, I wouldn’t worry about acquiring the name 'TVR' and the cost of that, as the Griff shape alone would sell, just call it the ‘Wheeler Griffith 600’, that’s right, a 6.0 LTR scare bucket,..............are you in? We start first thing in the morning!
sleepzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz hang on, my alarm is going off........oh no......smash

Design rights (unregistered) only last 10 years meaning that the Griff shape is no longer protected so please feel free to go ahead...

One of the first new cars under PW was the S which had a Ford Cologne engine. It is Ford but it was designed in Germany so he couldn't have been that against it.

Another Bristol Avenue would work again. We just need another Peter Wheeler. Someone with balls and a big enough bank account then.

I didn't I know that! I wonder if he did. I'm sure if I were to dig even deeper than that I might find the cables or the rear plastic bit on the back of the switches were made by zee Germans and his ‘only British parts’ idealism will be blown out of the water. He was offered a BMW engine but chose to make his own anyway; I thought that was great and noble for the company at the time, even though some were questioning the move.
Either way, the point I'm making is that I would use what ever materials necessary to make a better quality Griffith, be they made in Calcutta or Honolulu.
