Buckled alloy

When I bought my S3c, one of the wheels was slightly buckled, and subsequently bought a replacement.

Now the buckled wheel is taking up space in the garage... can anyone do anything with these and try and straighten them, or do I just consign it to the bin..?

I know Rochford Tyres in er, Rochford used to straighten wheels. My GTI failed an MOT with one and they sorted it out.

Got one of mine straightened at Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes, very good while you wait service and much cheaper than a new wheel.

It's surplus to requirements... if it can be sorted then it makes sense to do that and then sell it on... otherwise it's going to the scrapyard in the sky...

Get it weighed in...at the risk of sounding like someone who's mother sells 'lucky heather', any scrap metal place will take it off your hands for a few quid - better that than just slinging it

IIRC you had a bit of trouble sourcing the replacement(s), so maybe if you can get it straightened you should keep it as a spare, just in case any of the current ones get damaged.

Took a pair of buckled wheels to Mad About Wheels in Basildon. One came out perfectly the other cracked in process as was too badly buckled although they did warn me this may happen. Worth a try with them though, I thought they were pretty good.
