I am going to cry in my beer tonight (HRG will know why).

Bought my 1999 Chim 3 years ago with just over 6K on the clock (a bit of a garage queen), the car has been brilliant just one thing has not (done 22K now).
Just over a year ago I had a PAS leak in the U bend and had that fancy pipe by Perry Mott fitted (this has worked great).
Three months later the seal on the PAS rack at the passenger site starts to leak.
Had the rack rebuilt at some expense.
Four months later the seal on the drivers site starts to leak.
Rack rebuilt second time and installed (for free)
Three months later the seal on the drivers site starts to leak again.
Another rebuilt (for free) and Perry really laying in to the muppets that rebuilt it.(Perry has been great in all this saga and it has costed him a lot of time)
Last week car in for service and MOT, find one of the hoses to the rack leaking, one of the washers has disintegrated, Perry repairs but has not got the right washers (with rubber in them)but tries another washer.
This does not work as when I get home I find hose still leaking.
Perry says no probs I have the right washers now so come in (yesterday) and replaces washers.
Come home and card board under the car as this PAS fluid s
t eats away the tarmac in my garage.
Checked card board this morning and AAARRRGGHH, PAS fluid again, looks like from a different hose.
So back again next week for another round of find the leak.
I dispair, on how many places can this PAS s
te leak, we seem to be going around the whole PAS system.
Off to the pub now to cry in my beer.

Don't know, Perry used an outfit near Wembley for the first time to rebuild the rack as they came recommended.
He will never go there again but will return to some Indian guys in Maidenhead who he never had these problems with.
So next time the rack leaks again I will take the financial loss and have it rebuild there.

We need to find a replacement item IMO
So, here's the challenge, how do we go about it?
It's not even that much grief to change the mounting points if required, but finding a suitable rack has to be the answer to this endless merry go round of refurbs

Well if TVR could do it
My understanding is it's a poor design as there's no seal on the threaded bung, it relies on sealant
I believe the original racks TVR used were from the SD1, they then made their 'own' part steel, part ally version followed by the current one which was still basically a copy?
But where to start...

The non PAS racks are slower. If they were 2.5 I'd go pop one in and be done with it.
