But still can't work out which is the correct one. There are multiple different models. They don't have photos to identify them. The sender has a green collar, but there are black ones, red ones et al.
Have found one on Famous Four (L-R site) that looks to be the thing, but it's gonna cost me a tenner to find out.It's got a part no of 1277.
If anyone knew for definite, that would save me taking a chance.

Are the Griff gauges the same as the Chim? Mine are the Caerbont gauges. The long story is: I changed out the "normal" temp sender and the gauge still reads low and never gets above 70 degC.
Got a precision decade (resistance) box and fitted as the sender and the gauge is reading ~10deg low. However, the "normal" sender decreases in resistance with rising temp, so I can't "fix" it by adding in more resistance. So, I believe I can try the R-R sender with a resistance mod.
Maybe delusional, and should bite the bullet and get a new gauge. But I'll try this first.
