Just in case... what do you reckon my car would sell for?
Discussion
Heres a possible problem i may have but hopefully just out of interest.
There are doom and gloom rumours and if the worst happens then i may have to consider selling up.
My 98 Chimaera 450 may have 105k on the clock but.....
Up to when i bought it 2 years ago had a full Fernhurst service history.
Its currently undergoing a full body off chassis refurb and getting a full engine rebuild with a new cam and ported big valve heads etc.
The gearbox and diff will be checked and repaired if required.
A brand new set of Nitrons and new bushes throughout etc etc.
The car also benefits from 17 and 18" SP12s.
It will be in excellent condition when and if the time comes.
What do you think would be a fair asking price next Spring when the cars fully rebuilt with a fresh MoT etc?

With that amount of miles and the gap in the full TVR service history it,s worth £10,000.00. Bearing in mind all you are doing is getting the car back to selling condition the SP12 wheels and Nitrons will have little bearing on the price. There are doom and gloom rumours and if the worst happens then i may have to consider selling up.

It's not been raced or abused has it ?
I wont tell them if you dont want them to know DBV8!
.Maybe complete my original plans and see what someone may be willing to pay for a Chim that runs 10.9 second 1/4s and over 170 top.

I suppose it would make sense to sell the car as standard with cheaper shox and the original alloys and sell the brand new Nitrons and SP12s seperate.
That'd possibly be the best way of maximising your income.
Whoa guys.
When i say 'just in case' i mean it would have to be very severe circumstances to come to parting.
As an example, Ive been paying for 2 large council garages for over 10 years now just to store 2 Rover SD1s and tons of spare parts i just cant let go of. You get the idea.
Mac, will give you a call soon mate but im no further ahead with the engine yet.
Give John Eales a call about the forged pistons and balancing and let me know what he says. Also hes near Lutterworth which isnt too far for you is it?
Edited as i got mixed up with John Eales and JE Engineering!?!?!?

Hope you got that passenger seat fixed Der
Far from it Woody.
The cars in about a thousand pieces at the moment.
Dont worry the passenger seat will be secured in place and the bottles are being relocated in the boot so i can give people a full demonstration of the joys of nitrous when its all back together.

Especially after I've just turned down an improved, very good offer on my car even though it's not for sale intending to follow your footsteps.
