History check of 2nd hand TVR

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum so just that you know. Also I am from The Netherlands.

I am addicted to Corvettes but I also have a strong weakness for TVR. Since months I am scouting the web in search for a Cerbera and / or Tuscan. Currently I have found two candidates but since the cars are on UK plates I was wondering if in the UK there is a public database were the history of the car can be check based on VIN or licese plate number?? (like carfax in the US)

If you are still in the Netherlands (your profile says Turkey) talk to T900-R (Eric), he knows all about TVR's and imported a Chim to Holland.

In the UK you can have an HPI check done with the license plate details of the car. It does cost but not a huge amount, around £5-£10 I think.

Just search HPI on the internet and you'll find loads of websites offering the service. It will tell you if the car has ever been stolen, crashed, damaged, outstanding finance, VIN number etc.

Its worth doing as the cost is very small compared to buying a car and finding out its not what you thought it would be...
