Single garage body lift tips required.

The rain has stopped me raising the body on my Chim the last 2 weekends and im now thinking of using 2 chainblocks to lift the body off the chassis within a fair size single garage.
i have decent roof joists over the centreline of the car and have a fair amount of ceiling hieght to lift the body clear so i can wheel the chassis out or just start stripping the suspension etc.

Has anyone done this?
Any tips on strapping or clever use of blocks of wood to spread the load?
Where is the best places to position the chainblocks and how and where to attach to the bodywork is the question

What kind of weight is in the chim body? With all the dash seats, windows, ect in? Could 4 people get round it and lift if off?

8 of us easily picked up the body off the chasis and walked it clear. I don't know how much the body weights but probably 300Kg +, so you might struggle with 4.

Depends if you want a lift, or to remove the body totally. I'm doing it in the single garage now and I've propped the chassis up on 4 axle stands. Then I used two trolley jacks under the rear and lifted it slightly, then supported it and did the same with the front and kept doing it in inch increments. Now it's up I've supported the back end with bricks above the diff and the jacks are supporting the front as it's actually alot lighter than the back. I've also chocked the sides to spread the load, but once I'd positioned the back properly and off the jacks the doors opened and closed cleanly anyway. I've got it about 4-5 inches up at the moment and it's given me enough space for a repaint and outrigger work.
