Scamera notice after Surrey run :(

Just got a NIP in the mail for doing 39 in a 30 on "A325, Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Hampshire".

Can't remember getting flashed, but the time is 11:59 which means it was on the way home from Racing Green.

There was a ruling recently about cameras in 30mph limits on "rural" roads being illegal. Details here:

The A325, Farnborough Rd is a long stretch and not that near home for me to check it out, but does anyone local know what camera this would have been, and whether it has streetlights down that stretch (no streetlights might mean it is illegal under this ruling).

Unlicky mate....

The A325 is the main drag through Farnborough. From Queens Hotel Roundabout to basically M3. I also drove down there on Sunday, I didn't see any scameras though.

Don't worry, its probably just me as it wasn't actually during the run.

I was done about a year ago on the same road doing 35mph.
The white van normally sits in a residential street just off the main road. Its at the end of the stretch from the Clock House roundabout to the next rounabout when travelling in the Farnham / Aldershot direction.

Don, scamera van is out there most days - varies his position at the big roundabout - worst one is going north towards the roundabout as you come over the brow of the hill after the college lights. See him most mornings on the way to work but not for the last few weeks - anyone know where he's gone now? He also likes to use the 30/40 limit change about a mile further south by Kwikfit (I think) using parking places on either side of the road.

OK, so definitely not a fixed camera down that stretch then? That would explain it as I normally manage to spot the gatso's.
