Well.... Since becoming a PHer, I've read all sorts of stuff about the difficulties with putting spiders on a Griff. Stuff like 16" fitting OK, but 18" not........

I found this at Peninsula earlier when I picked my Chim up..... hopefully the owner won't mind me posting this piccy I sneaked while I was there..... aparently it is now possible, looks great and is comparable in cost to the factories 16" spiders... now.... where'd I put my cheque book.....

If the owner of this car does not want this pic on here, please let me know and I'll remove the pic

Looks superb. I'd love to know whether it is still driveable at the limit though. They had handling issues with Cerbs when they did this at first.

When you say similar cost - is this an alternative to the TVR spider upgrade or can you order the 18s instead of the 16s?

from what I understand (so don't quote me) this is the first one, and so lots of time was spent making sure it still drove well. as for price, there wasn't exactly a "it'll cost you <blah>" answer, but when I asked how much (hypothetically) would it cost to do to mine, figures of around 1500-2000 ball park were mentioned..... it's more then I have, that's for certain, but I'd pay it if I had it!

I agree that it makes the car sit too high.

would look much better a bit lower so slap on some lowered springs max power style, and ruin the ride.

It does look far too high off the ground, I guess thats the price you pay for 18"spiders... Also, is it just me or do those disks look tiny???
