Checked the speedo on the TVR against GPS, indicated 100mph GPS reads 97mph, tried it on the audi, speedo 100mph GPS 91mph.
BTW both these readings were taken whilst driving on private ploughed fields

Haven't tried it in the TVR yet, but my Mini was 10% out all the way up.

mine is scarly accurate, no margin for error on speed traps.... 100speedo = 98 GPS (obviously using the same field after colinrob)

GPS can itself be pretty inaccurate depending on how many satellites one is picking up at the time. Best way of checking is surely to get caught for speeding with a laser camera

Had a GPS in the car at Bruntingthorpe last year and my T350 was accurate to within 1mph all the way to 154mph....

So was Nubbins Tamora. The Cerbs were 10 mph out at arond 160mph.

Not the speedo clock, just the tickety clock:

My TVR's clock reads the correct time, all the time. My Audi's clock gains a minute a week. Once a month when I'm in a traffic jam I wind it around to get the time right. Annoying.
