Well there are a few of us with Warranty Holdings ones. There are also many who will tell you they are not worth the paper they are written on.
In my case (and at least 1 other PHeader I know) these have proved invaluable, I dread to think of what I would have spent out and the piece of mind is worth it in itself IMHO.
I buy 2 years at a time as it works out cheaper and I also buy through a dealer as they are more likely to fight your corner if they have sold it to you in the first place.

Bought my 99 Chim one year ago. Had a Warranty Holdings NIG Gold cover supplied by the dealer. Haven't had a single claim in 3000 miles
They just quoted for the next year at £799 for the NIG Gold cover incl all electrical/mechanical parts , unlimited claims and AT LONG LAST, TVR dealer labour rates!!!!
After some headscratching, decided not to bother with this warranty which works out at 27p/mile (for 3000 miles). That's put the kiss of death on it as next week something will probably go bang in a big way

WH is not cheap though is it. I got 2 years cover on my cerb when i bought the car. The second years cover i paid £150, which was approx half of what the dealer paid for it, but this was part of the deal when buying the car. Thats worth it. To renew again, the cost are about £500 plus, with a £1000 per claim. Not sure whether i will renew in 12 months time.

PS Would a garage get it cheaper...and slip him a few notes? Let me know what you guys think on this.

Yeah totally defeatist in my eyes.

Why pay £600 for a warranty that limits you to £1000 per claim????

I got a TVR Spirit Gold for years 2 and 3 thrown in with the Chim.

No limit on claims with that I think, not sure though.

All academic now anyway.

I can't say anything but good things about my Warranty Holdings cover or could it be the dealer fighting in your corner (later i think). My car has had £1800 ish of work done recently all covered by Warranty Holdings, Clutch and flywheel, Radiator and Wiper motor. Overall well worth the money spent for the cover not sure WH would look at it in the same way.
