Fitting rear roll-bar

Whaen you fit a rear roll bar on a Chimaera for the rear mounts to the chassis are there mounts already on the chassis? I have bought a roll bar second hand that was removed from a sales car from a garage and the front bars mount at the seat belt anchors and the rear through the floor, are there provisional mounts for these as the mechanic there seemed to think so?

Have a look in the Bible but from memory I think the chassis had purpose made pick up points for roll bars from 1996 onwards. If it is a Tower View bar then it doesn't use these anyway.

Thanks Garry, I've had a look in the bible but it doesn't indicate whether a 1995 like mine would have the mounts?

The bible says from 1996 for Chimparis when TVR standardised the chasssis so a 95 Chimaera is unlikely to have them.

I'm getting one Installed by Tower View on Monday and will ask when down there, but I imagine Steve is correct ( again ).
Mine is Registered 96 but the chassis is a late 95 so who knows for that year??.

The Tower View bar doesn't use the parcel shelf mounts and will fit any chassis. The factory one require a 96+ chassis with the mounts welded in.

Where does the Tower View cage mount?

Onto the rear chassis using a specially designed clamp.
