Now now Alan, it wasn't that bad. As John Barker said in the article, it doesn't like being driven at under 70mph - after all we have prepared it as a race car so little wonder that it can't take slow speeds.
Your SEAC came out very well in the article didn't it? Sounds like you are going to make it sound and feel even scarier - love to see that.
Anyway, it was really nice meeting you on the day - I hope that we will see you transformed car in due course. Maybe you will get to see us racing the Griff when hopefully it will be as good as gold.

Louise - yes JB's review of the SEAC came out very nicely .. I'm just trying to change it's character back to what it should be like .. it's a bit mild right now.
It goes into the garage on Saturday ... I dont't think it will ever be as wild as your car but yours in very track focused.
Talking of your car ... I've had a few thoughts which I'd like you to pass on to (forgotten his name sorry..) mechanic.
Symptoms : over heats at slower speeds, exhaust manifolds glow red ... this seems to be the cast iron
heads chucking out unburnt fuel which then burn in exhaust and this would give a secondary problem in the exhaust valve area (over heating) ... I think solutions could be :
1. Heavier flywheel - this would help fuel have time to burn. It might slow you a little (but to finish first - first you have to finish..)
2. Crematic coating in exhaust port (may not be legal for racing..)
Thanks a lot Alan. I'll pass on your comments to Peter. I have to say that we don't get the over heating problems now on the race track (not since the re-engineering of the colling system) - just when pootling along.
We are currently investigating water pumps (need to see if we can legally use them in the championship we run is) as the water is just not getting around the system fast enough despite the swirl pot etc. Sadly we are rather curtailed in what we are allowed to do which means having to find different engineering solutions.
I thought your car sounded pretty meaty so it should be stunning once it is fully sorted. I guess we'll hear you burbling up the M3! Hope to see it fully sorted one day - maybe if we have the time to go to a TVRCC function.

I'll look forward to that...
