Micro DV camera mounting - where?????

The wife bought me a Veho Muvi but I can't work out a way to mount it on my Chim without drilling into the bodywork. Obviously, I don't want to do this, so does anyone else have one and if so, where have you mounted it?

Look at getting the extreme sports pack. Comes with head band strap, arm band strap, handlebars strap etc. I use the handlebars strap on the front number plate horizontal bar.

I've got that too but couldn't work out which strap was which!

Does it hold it steady enough?

If you want to mount it in the car 2 options:

Phone Holder and a bit of polystyrene to hold it firm.

Or if it has a standard tripod screw mount:

Camera suction mount

No tripod mount either.

Ideally, I want to mount it on the outside of the car at the front.

Cable ties could be the answer I think!!

One of my cams is mounted in the 'mouth' if yours has the metal grill then, as you say, cable ties has to be the answer.

Sorry for late reply, not on hear as much as I used to be.

This is the way I do it and it is very steady. Bit of wind noise though!

Hmmmm, not having much luck with this. Got it mounted on 3M Dual Lock and also strapped down with cable-ties but it still has a lot of 'bounce'. I know the roads round here aren't great but it makes you feel a little sick watching it

I use a rubber sucker to the windscreen, I was surprised there is no vibration at 120 with the roof off (airfield obviously).

Mine mounts nicely on the number plate, very close to the ground which enhances the feeling of speed a bit. Be careful not to change the look of the letter/digits on the plate though!

Hehe - I'd just picked my boy up from a party at Kids Kingdom. It was his suggestion to go along the seafront

Didn't see yours though - too busy looking out for mobile scameras (think I might have been clocked earlier in the day. Was only doing 35 according to the speedo but who knows how accurate that is?!?)

That looks like a nice solid mounting there. My number plate leans forwards though, so I'll have to straighten it up first, otherwise all you will see is tarmac

Believe it or not, just clipped on using the clip that comes with it. The clip is taped to the camera and the lanyard runs round the plate but thats it. Gong to try manipulating it to fit on the wing mirror mount so at least you can see some of my car!!
