Mmm, nice Griff - looks like mine (and hubby's)!

Great photo's and great read. Impressed to see that John Barker (editor) gave both Allan's SEAC and our Griff a good score - better than some modern cars. Not bad for a 40 year old car!

Shame John didn't get to try our Griff on the race track which to be fair to it is it's natural habitat now. Although drivable on the road as John says, it doesn't like going slow (i.e. under 70) so we try to avoid taking it on the raod (that and the huge fuel bills to fill up the twin tanks). John would have found the Griff a real stunner on the track, as we do every time we race it. In fact, the longer the race (we take part in one hour 2 driver races) the better it goes.

If anyone is interested in our race calander for this year, let me know and I'll put a message up once the dates are clearer. Derek Smith (TVRCC Ed) is also doing a piece re the car (and our other cars) for the March issue of Sprint.

I read about your car with great interest. Sounds like a like a real driving experience, especially those brakes!
What a stable you have too (just seen your profile).

There was a Griff for sale in the autotrader recently for around £40K. I guess they must be pretty thin on the ground now. (well, if they can get any thinner than they were!).

Yep DustyC, we've got this car thing bad. In fact we have 2 other cars not mentioned on my profile. My hubby races a 1979 Lancia Beta Coupe (a hugely under rated car and please no jokes about rust...) and we have a 1972 Lancia Fulvia Zagato 1.6, a rare (one of 84) RHD which is an ex-racer.

Trouble is, now I have read the March edition of evo (I don't normally get the magazine) there are a few more cars I wouldn't mind sitting in the garage!

BTW we got close to the Sagaris when taking part in the article and it was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately we didn't get to sit in it, and I know its not the final version but I was mightly impressed. Just have to work out now how we can afford one to put on the track. I only have 2 kidneys to sell...

Talking of the Sagaris - during the photo shoot, the
photographer (Kenny P) asked me to take the keys out
as he wanted them out of the shot..

Now how tempting was that ... as everyone knows by how - this car is very stunning in the flesh and yes I'd like one for my garage too !
