Finally got the Tuscan out for a run after she's been sitting in the garage since Christmas. Only did 30 mile round trip taking in a couple of my favourite roads, but it was enough to put that grin back .........Oh well back to the Golf in the morning

Same here, first time in six weeks. Ran like a dream! Only one brown trouser moment when the tail kicked out when accelerating from a standing start, I'd forgotten I had had a new rear tyre fitted which isn't scrubbed in yet.

Went to our monthly meet today and forgot how much fun she is on dry roads! Fantastic handling. Although a 1.3 Toyota starlet with quite possibly the worst sounding dump valve (I can only describe it as a mouse farting) made me smile as he tried to bait me up a duel carrage way.

Planning on taking the old girl out this weekend for the first time this year. Not just due to the weather.

I feel like a child waiting for Christmas, counting down the days.

Have 4 days off next week to finish off the bits I have been fettling in the bad weather (well, bit more than fettling, roller bearing throttle bodies, new throttle pots, spark plugs, fuel hose change, fuel filter, rear wishbone bushes, drill brake discs….god the list goes on)

I can’t wait either!!

400 miles in mine over the weekend!

Two fill ups, one at 26mpg the other at 27mpg - more economical than my current daily driving car and with earplugs in whilst doing 90 on the motorway it was equally as comfortable.

Admittedly it was a little hairy on the M1 in the fog and pouring rain last night but nothing it couldn't handle. In fact if it wasn't for the fact my trip to work is 140 miles I think I'd be tempted to use it everyday.
