Planning a visit with a couple of other Cerberas to
this Sunday's East Midlands TVRCC meeting.

What is the A46 from jct 21a M1 up to A6097 like as a
road?

Single /dual carriage way?
Free flowing?
Cameras / vans?

Any notes welcome!

Thanks in advance folks.

First half is open dual carriageway, most of it concrete so expect badumm, badumm, badumm, goes into a single carriageway just after the railway overbridge, they are putting SPECS in at the moment, but AFAIK they do not have cameras on yet. There are some nasty cross junctions on the single carriageway, look out for numpties not gauging your speed. See you there.

OK, BTW when you're on the A6097, as you come down the long downhill section after going through the wood after the traffic lights, (pauses for breath), the limit is 50mph, watch it because numpties turn across both sides of the river bridge. Been loads of accidents there, really the council should shut the road ends, as all the roads have alternative routes, but there you go.

You're in Daventry aren't you?
Will you be leaving from here for the meeting?

You're welcome to join our 3 Cerbera convoy if you like?

Hi Rude Girl

The Northants meeting is in Daventry now - well,
Staverton Golf Club, so we all set off from here.

Let me know.

Hard to say Richard having not done the route before.

We plan to leave Daventry at 12:45 - so at a very wide
guess, 13:30?

Do you want us to call you as we come of the M1?

Graham,

The A46 is a good road, but there are two subsidence inspired dips around the turn off to the A50. If you take them too fast you'll run out of suspension travel and things could get interesting...

Also if you're planning on using the A607 or any other roads in and around Melton Mowbray you may come across mobile speed cameras. They're having a weekend trip out around these parts!

Enjoy the day out...

Cheers

Hi Kojak, good to see you.

While you were talking to me, Ace-T, Judas, RCA and Neil.b were also with us.

I think the East Mids meets just get better - really nice people and there's always something going on. I thought it was especially thoughtful of John the RO to get that bloke to lay on the demonstration of demolition reversing today

Hi.

Indeed great to meet you as well, sorry we only
arrived as people were heading off around 2pm, but we
left the Northants meeting a little later than planned
(catching up on the latest news on Ceejay's Cerbera )

Good to also meet Rude Girl, Mrmaggit and to catch up
( briefly! ) with Jamer.

Sorry we missed John the RO, guess we were too busy
gassing outside giving him a chance to make a
swift getaway?!

My brother (kartman24 still minus his sleeping Griff!)
& I had a great run over and back and stretched the
legs very nicely on the new Cerb with TVRslag and
TVRslagBIL in tow.

Excellent dual meeting day, thanks everyone.

Go create some weather...
