It's broken at the mo. Blew a gasket at Beaulieu's 'Supercar Start Up' (cheers for V8GRF for that bit of info). I hope they fix it ASAP and get it down to BNG 2010.....

It's an old ad I'd suggest it's been up for two years, so nothing new and you'd need more than £200k I'd suggest.

no it's not, i phoned the guy this morning and it's actually for sale now (although being repaired at the moment). (and the 200K is up for negotiation).

It may be current but it is an old ad. The car was taken away from there to Beaulieu where it was damaged when they ran the car at the 'supercar start up. The owner has it up for sale as he believes it should be used more but he's a reluctant seller...

I bet their hoping the write up in this months EVO 'Birth of an Icon' page will create some interest.

The article says that when the first Speed 12 engine was tested on a 1000bhp dyno it snapped the input shaft but was eventually detuned to around 830bhp by the current owner because Peter Wheeler(RIP) declared it to powerful & wild for the road

That's why it's been 'for sale' for so long.
Despite it being a mighty beast it's a mongrel with no pedigree 'cos the Speed12 Cerbera did nothing of any real historic value in racing terms. I'm not even sure the tub it's based on has much racing pedigree, if any. Ally that with the owner looking to recover at least some of his enormous cash outlay and you do get a car that's really only worth something to a TVR nut....

Indeed it is fairly unique, and as you say, 200k is pocket money for some collectors, but the latter part of that arguement is hardly a basis for a valuation.

It seems to priced to keep rather than to sell.
