New Owner with a Cheeky Request!!!

I've just purchased a spectraflair silver Tuscan 2 'S' from HHC in Hexham. Tony was a fantastic bloke and I've had nothing but positive recommendations about him.

The car is lovely but the only 'S' option missing from it is the close ratio gearbox. It has a 3.46 diff and a normal gearbox. I've read a lot on here about how the 3.91 and CR box is an incredible combination and Tony has said if I wanted to get this done he would do it at cost.

As this is an opportunity I may never have again I was hoping there was someone based in, or close to, London who wouldn't mind taking me out in their 3.91/CR combo to show me what I'm missing. Obviously I'd come to you and cover any petrol costs, choccy bars etc!

I'm guessing that getting the CR/3.91 done at cost is a great offer compared to what it would otherwise cost so it would be great to have a comparison.

Thanks very much, it's one of the last ones so has the convertible dash in it. I'm hoping to use it as much as possible and get out to lots of the tunnel runs etc. I'm very pleased though it's a long trip back to London now from North of Newcastle!

Can't help you with the ride (too far away) but I bought my 2S from HHC a little over a year ago and I had the CR box and 3.91 diff installed (actually, it already had the CR box). Can tell you it's great, go for it. Personally, I wouldn't settle for anything less.

If Chelmsford is not to far away I could get you in a *.* ltr with a 3.9 diff and a CR box with over 400bhp at the rear wheels.

Any chance of a blast round Guadix with you in the Tuscan ? as i will have my 4.0 ltr engine in for the trip but will still have the standard diff and gearbox, so will be interested to see the difference.

Hi Alan, yes I took the plunge!! The car looks amazing and the interior looks better in the flesh than the pics I'd seen. Different to yours but still very nice. I can't wait to get that roof off and enjoy some sunshine - might need to head south for that though
