Wife was taking the Chimaera to work yesterday when she noticed something moving in the passenger footwell. Imagine her surprise (and shock 
) when she notices a mouse jumping around!
No idea how it got in, car is in a garage although I do leave a window open, unless it got in when it was in the drive one day. Moved the seat and pulled the cover off from by the battery but no sign of the little blighter, no droppings or anything either so I hope it was a brief visit!

Don't take any chances and put a trap in there baited with Mars Bar - honestly, they love it and its what I catch the little sods with each autumn when they start to look for somewhere warm to live.
Trap the garage too, there is rarely just one and the damage they do can be horrendous.
They are also incontinent and do their stuff on the move, so its not so obvious to find. So don't use that as an indicator.

You need to sort that pdq. They can easily access the car through bulkhead etc.... They will chew through wires etc... Get the trap out and get rid - if you are using a humane trap then remember to let them free a long long way from your house.
If you leave them long enough in the humane trap they will eventually try and eat each other, saves disposing of them!!!!!i have poison and traps set in the garage all year and a cat just to be safe
I had on living on the corner of the boot in the Griff - ate some of the carpet and other stuff that was in there. Also stunk of pi55 for months. Horrid.
Got 4 traps in the garage permanently now - tend to get a few in quick succession then nought for weeks. The snails/slugs like to eat the bait too!

people say peanut butter, mars bars etc. I use large fish food pellets they stink but they seem to love em
We found all the insulation on the pipework under the bath had been chewed up, so I put down a trap baited with Mars Bar.
Within an hour I'd caught my first mouse.
Binned that, reset the trap amd before I could get back downstairs, the trap had caught another. And I did this twice.
I eventually caught 5 mice.
I will never use anything else.

Suppose you could deep fry and eat the mouse? That way you get a nice KFC (other fast food outlets are available) type meal with a sweet centre - kind of like a modern cornish pasty..Mark said:

Have a look around the rear wheel arches where there are some holes in the rear bulkhead, which I believe are supposed to be vents of some sort, which our little furry friends use as access hatches
