Hi,
I followed one of these along the M4 this morning!

Looks very nice in the flesh and almost a cross between a Corvette and a Griff (dare I say it) I thought. It had different rear lights to the pics, so may have been a pre-production model...

I thought the company name was odd until I realised it was an elec car, I think the design is interesting & little TVRish - which is good.
Under the specification section they have an External Engine Sound Generator feature - probally gives the customer switchable choice of stealth, TVR V8 or jet engines

Exactly that. The chap on the stand said that, technically, you could have anything you wanted and where looking at perhaps having it switchable, so you could drive to Tescos sounding like a TVR and return sounding like an F1 car etc

I sit on a Government formed electric vehicle working group. The idea is to ensure that the UK is ready with the correct infrastructure and technology to support a growing electric vehicle industry.
Take it from me, we will all be affected by electric cars in some way during the next 5 years. They are the future of motoring. The comments of them being less environmentally freindly than a fossil fuelled car just don't stack up either I'm affraid.
In the next couple of years, you will all see a massive infrastructure of charging points for cars and the gradual banning of fossil fuelled cars from major cities.
The likes of the Lightening car company and Tesla are the way forward for us to enjoy performance motoring in the long term.
Until then, I'll take great pleasure in using my Griff! ;-)

I nearly took a job working for the company that supplies the wheel motors for that car about 2-3 years ago.
The issue with it is the complete lack of mechanical connection between brakes and the wheels (there is none) so there needs to be a BIG change in legislation for this "electric" can to take off.
I could not see this happening that quickly hence I didn't take the job.... One day that may proce to have been a big mistake.

I was in my slow works van so couldn't keep up!
Yes, the lightning had 4 separate rear lights and a larger mesh type front grill which does indeed differ from the 'production' model.
I had to google 'lightning' as i had not seen one before and they turned out to be electric - would explain why I did not hear it pass me
