Removing Old Sealant - Which product?

What's the recommended best way / product to remove old sealant from paint work?

As long as the paint is 2 pack I've used paraffin & thinners. Soaking in paraffin seems to lift some of the sealant, and thinners on a rag to finish. I guess you have to use them sensibly, being flammable / affecting rubber...
