Dorset/Hants Drive in-out Aftermarket ECU installation

I am considering getting aftermarket management installed into my '98 Chimaera 450, to replace the whole AFM/dizzy/14CUX set-up, as I seem to be having ongoing problems with these - and believe that switching to aftermarket would allow me to junk all of them..?

Does anyone know of a reputable garage/specialist/whoever who would be able to provide a drive in/out service in the Dorset/Hampshire area..?

I am open to suggestions about which aftermarket option is the best - as I only want to get the car running properly again, and am not bothered about the infinite extra features that differentiate them...

The car is not running at the moment due to apparent fuelling problems caused by the above - and I need to find someone who would rip the above set-up out, and install and properly map the aftermarket system, and then be able to return me a working, well-performing car.

I am sick and tired of having problems with the current set-up "fixed" only for the car to break down again 4miles later... The car has not worked properly for months now, and I am rapidly falling out of love with it

Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who might be able to help me...?

Just my tuppence worth but the Lucas system is actually pretty sophisticated and its only real disadvantage is the difficulty in remapping unless you have the right (very specialist) tools. Any replacement ecu will still be using the same sensors and fuelling system so unless you are having problems with the actual ecu itself then I would leave the fuelling side alone.

As for the ignition, I feel your pain. It's rubbish and I am considering retaining the Lucas system for fuelling but upgrading the ignition to an ecu based system with coil packs and a crank sensor. There's apparently a bit of power to be gained in fine tuning the ignition mapping at higher revs as well.

^^^^ That. Although the wiring loom and the ECU which is in a location where it might have gotten wet, might hide some gremlins. Nowt too specialist in remapping the CUX14 either other than that it's an older system and few tuners are likely to invest in it anymore.

You might try Racing Green near Guildford. No first hand experience of them as my ECU was fitted by Joo at Sheffield.
