Fuel leak ???

I've noticed lately a smell of fuel in the garage from the Griff but only when the engine is cold. I think I've tracked it down to where the fuel pipe meets the plenum. The clip is pretty tight though. Is this a common thing ?

The pipes do rot eventually (I assume you mean the rubber pipe).

Are you sure it's not just smells from the tank vent? (my bike does this, Tuscan's OK and can't remember if I ever noticed the Chim ponging of petrol)
