Need/Want for a Bath TVR meet?

Another Tiv meet 
In addition to the Bristol Bunch 15 mins West,
the Wiltshire Wanderers 15 mins East
and Naughty North Somerset 15 mins South (your side of Frome).
The rumour mill has told me that North Somerset has folded because noone was turning up. There just isn't enough Tivs to share between so many meets in this area. Somerset are now holding their nr Yeovil meets every month.
Also, once the Summer starts there are so many superb Tiv related events happening this year that my diary is darned near full already. If other people are like me then they may have a similar problem! To see what I mean, have a look at the events list at www.tvrcc-bristol.co.uk
Having said all of the above, there might be room for a Bath meet of some sort. Depends what you have in mind.
If you are serious about organising a meet - please can you drop me an email as I've got some thoughts and your Bath meet could work to all of our benefit!

Hows the Tedmobile holding up?
I've been keeping my eyes open as I'm guessing you pass fairly close to where I live on your way to work. I used to do the opposite journey.
As the Nud has stated there are a few TVR groups in the area. Don't be fooled or put off by the TVRCC banners, while membership is encouraged you would certainly not be pressganged by anyone. Quite often if there is an event which requires TVRCC membership for insurance purposes day membership can be arranged for about a fiver.
Having said that Bath is a great location with a fair few good pubs with good parking (very important to Tiv owners
). The Fyffes Special will be off the road for the next week due to MOT issues (the issue being Dan Jnr. was born on the day it expired so I kinda had other things to do) however after that I'm sure we could scrape a few people together for a meet.
Another Website to look at would be http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tvrcc-bristol/ the Nud oftern pulls together rumbles at short notice in the area and we are more than happy to have others join in, so register and let him know if you are interested.

Gotta be honest, I tend to agree with this.
I went along to the Bristol meet last weekend (
... that was me in the Green Chim) and that was from Chippenham...... so from Bath to the Bristol meets is not far at all.... and the Wilts meets are generally not far away......This year I plan to start attending and supporting some of the more established local meets but if some of the local Bath owners want a mid-week place to meet I'm happy to get involved - see www.ayrlington.com

Depends on the size of this thread really, i suppose there are plenty of 'local' meets already, so perhaps we should start with a one off??
I agree the number of TVR's in the Bath area are quite high but Wilts and Bristol meets are close. I didn’t even know that N. Somerset had a meeting and it looks like it was at the Bell, Buckland Dinham, 2 mins from my house! I have been going to Wilts meets (missed the last couple though) and they are all a nice bunch of chaps. Perhaps their is scope for a new region, Bath and West perhaps, made up of the lower attended regions especially if N. Somerset has dropped off of the map. Just a thought!

One thing that could work is you could have a PHer's Bath Night and invite the Lotus/Ultima/SEAT lot as well.

I am going on Wednesday, and Wolsop has send an email to the Wilts regulars with other events too so well done to him.
I think a PHer's meet is a good idea too, parking in the centre of Bath is a problem so a pub just outside would be good I think. I always like the George at Bathampton in the summer. Any other suggestions? When should we meet?

Wilts region is meeting this Wednesday just a few miles west of Chippenham, then in March we're near Bradford Leigh...that's even closer to Bath!
