What are Griff/Cerb emission limits for MoT?

I'm lead to believe that somewhere it is written that there are specific TVR MoT emissions limits relating to Griff, Chim and Cerb.... cat and pre-cat.

"Nah mate, ems same as all motors" says my local village greasemonkey.

Does anyone on the forum know of the existence of any TVR specific text on emissions limits (cat and precat) or better still any link to the documentation so I definitely know once and for all what the limits are?

TVRs are exempt from the more strict emmission rules by virtue of the low volume regulations they were built to. I believe that many fail the first test and then they run a 'secondary test' that is on the menu of the machine they use. They then pass that test, assuming all is welll.

Another suggestion is to make sure the car is fully warmed up before submitted for the test so a good run out is always recommended.

The test is also different for the Pre-Cat Griffs.

For the last three attempts mine have been as follows and they have been based upon the limits shown BUT I don't know whether they are the correct limits to be applied.


Limits 2007 2008 2009

CO .3% 0% 0.8% 0.67%
HC 200ppm 18ppm 118ppm 113ppm
Lamda .9-1.1 1.115 .887 1.067

Three straight fails. Not by much but a fail is still a fail. Everything is hot and in good condition etc.
What are the CO, HC and Lamda limits for a precat please anyone? Thanks
