Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a good auto electrics place that can plumb in a full car kit for a Nokia into a Chimaera?

I dont want to use a run of the mill place as I dont trust them with the interior, somewhere with experience of working on TVR's would be ideal.

I havent checked with my dealer to see if they can do it, do dealers generally?

Matt.

I'm not being funny, but that will damage the leather which would be a p***er on the re-sale ???

Ideally I am looking for someone who could perhaps wire it all up in the door so avoiding the cutting of leather which is my concern.

Matt.

I had a Nokia Hands Free carkit in my Chimp 500. It was installed by Mobile Audio in Worcester where I live. They created a bracket for the cradle that was attached to the stereo cage and to the centre tunnel using the screw for the trim near the passengers knee. No damage to the interior at all and wouldn't have known it was ever there when they removed it. Fitted fine in the car only problem being that it obsured the hazards slightly but you soon got used to getting your hand over the bracket to the button. The aerial was mounted in the passenger door lock cubby hole out of the way, reception was fine. They also fitted a custom module to mute the stereo and route the car kit though the stereo speakers ( my stereo had no suitable input). Only real problem is where to mount the mike so that you can be heard over the engine at anything more than 30mph!
