Suspension setup

Eventually got around to adjusting the suspension on the TVR the other day and looking for a little advice. Oh, and have fully adjustable suspension all-round - got stiffer springs and AVO's and poly bushes too....
The car is fully weighted and balanced so its level and equally balanced from front to back and left to right. However, the shocks were set at a very soft setting. Ended up bouncing down the road which was not very nice and hardly confidence inspiring. But had excellent traction because it was so soft at the back at least!
But with the nicer weather I decided to sort it out. Currently the suspension is set to something like 6 clicks from hardest at the front and 7 clicks from hardest at the back. But I find that the ride is a little "pitchy" - what I mean is that it tends to pitch front to rear over largish bumps (especially on the M4 for example). Feels like a go-kart on A roads, but not that nice on others. Roll is kept in check nicely though.
So, what do you think? Should I tighten the back up further to reduce the pitch? Or loosen the front and back off a little to make the ride a little softer? I dont mind too much of a stiff ride, but currently have my own teeth and wish to keep it this way
Oh, and is it better to have softer front or rear?
I am trying to apply logic to the settings, but I seem to be able to argue it both ways - and end up not getting anywhere.

Actually I dont know! I seem to have misplaced my paperwork and cant find it at the moment! I have the figures for the 4 wheel computer balance stuff, but other than that not much else - unless you can tell by looking at the spring itself - though I have actually had it raised from the very low ride height that it used to have. I stupidly moved to an area which has loads of speed bumps and it was ground out each and every time!
