Well... I didn't, clearly. Joe's Detailing Services did - very pleased.
Paul and Darren turned up to my work place as arranged, fearing the weather may turn, but it held up for them. I got the dreaded call mid-morning - the bonnet's crap - something about too much gel coat or something technical. Apparently, what may've happened in the past is someone had a repair/spray job done but not taken the original back far enough so they lacquered over existing faults. Paul said he'd do his best anyway. Five minutes later, or was it five hours? , job's a good'n.
Eighteen-odd years old and 100,000+ miles and it's never looked better. Obviously still has the stone chips so it ain't going to win any awards but it should keep it in fine fettle until I can afford/justify a full respray.

I think it was the year before that Mike did it, but may be wrong - it's all a bit of a blur now.
