Suggestions/help please!

Hi Guys,
I've just changed insurers for both my daily Corsa and my T350C. I was with First Alternative, but Direct Line offered me identical cover for around £280 less. However, I've just phoned their "Customer Helpline" to include some slight modifications namely, stainless steel exhaust on both cars (OK, both make slightly more noise, but as far as I know, no increase to bhp), plus the TVR has the rear hatch handle fitted and a powder coated engine cover.
Imagine my surprise when the operator then tells me that the underwriters will not cover any vehicle with a stainless exhaust, irrespective of any bhp increase and, as a result, my cover has been cancelled with immediate effect! I am gutted! I was intending to go to Chatsworth tomorrow, but I'm now struggling to get cover. Can anyone suggest any companies that will not only give a competitive quote, but will also commence cover immediately and with the quoted modifications?

I use TESCO. They are competitive and, I have found very good regarding "modifications"
I wrote off my Mk1 Tuscan last year. When I called TESCO's they asked if there were any mods.
Oops, I forgot about having SP12 alloys fitted. Tesco simply charged me a little extra on the policy. I guess they could quite easily told me my cover was void !!! But, thank heavens they didnt.

Thanks for all the help. In the end, I managed to get fixed up with Admiral. No problems regarding modifications, but it was a bit more expensive than I was hoping. I will ensure that I start researching early next year! Consequently, I did manage to get to Chatsworth! Brilliant day, even the weather wasn't too bad. Thanks to Kev for doing a great job.
