AOL/BTOpenworld Nightmare!!!!!!!

Hi Folks,

For any of my Mid Essex peeps out there who think I am ignoring them.......tis not so.........

It would appear that AOL is not allowing email through from any Openworld customers and it is causing real grief....
well...........it is for me anyway.

Openworld are on the case and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Just thought I'd mention it.....

You are not alone Mr Yellow Peril. I have had nothing but real ars* since Christmas with my E-Mail. Seriously miffed with it.

I wouldn't install AOL on any of my machines, once on almost impossible to get off!!!

The same goes for me. I've had four emails returned and had to go onto my hotmail account to get through to those with AOL. What's the problem?

There's no problem in getting AOL off your computer. All you have to do is format the harddrive and reload your OS and all your programmes. That's what did it for me. Five or six hours well spent.

AOL is perfect if you travel internationally and need regular locally priced web access, but I do agree that it does take over your computer and seeps everywhere like quatermass.

That's the annoying thing....I don't have AOL....I have Openworld.

I stopped using AOL because, at the time, AOL did not allow me to use Outlook with emails.

Now I'm on broadband and I can't get through to many of my TVR peeps.

It's really annoying.

Luckily Diane, the other RO is with freeserve, so we are able to get round it with her stirling assistance.
Otherwise lots of people would be missing out on some good events.
