Which Waxoyl?

Hi Guys!

I pick up my new Chim500 next weekend. I'm really looking forward to having my first few drives out!!!

It will be fully prepared before I collect it (paint and waxoyl chassis, etc).

I want to buy some waxoyl so that I can touch-up the chassis in between services. Which is the right stuff to get?

In Halfrauds, it comes in clear and black varieties. Which is best?

Also, they sell a pressure spray system. Can this be used to somehow spray on top of the outriggers without lifting the body?

Any other chassis maintenance tips appreciated.

No difference between clear and black. You can squirt it up on top of the outriggers if you want, but it's a waste of time unless you can clean the top of the outriggers(which on some cars you can't) Just wait until they rot through (which they will) and get replacements

I think the Waxoyl sprayer is generally regarded as a waste of time as it gets blocked and is a pita.

I personally would recommended Dinitrol 4941 which comes in spray cans and you can also get an extension wand for those hard to reach places. It is pricer than waxoyl but is a much better product.

Although seeing as you already will have Waxoyl on it you can get Waxoyl in spray cans as well which will be less hassle than the separate sprayer.

Waxoyl in my book is a complete waste of time.

Try rustbuster they do dinitrol as well as a wax they supply to the MOD at about £34 for 5 litres good creepage they also sell an operated applicator
