Incompetent trye fitters

Just had two nice new proxies fitted on the wedge, but when I came to polish it this afternoon I find that theyve scratched both rims....of course they were there before!!! So if you want scratched rims theres a great company in Crewe who call themselves a

Oops Bad luck,
A Few years ago now, But put two tyres on mine just after buying it, and the nice fitter chap managed to jack the car up and damage the wire to the fuel pump. I say damage because sumtimes it worked and sometimes it didnt, so took a few days to work out why the car would or would not start!

It's almost as if they do it on purpose.

I agonised for ages over where to get tyres fitted and settled on Jeffreys in Warrington. Very impressive clean looking place, but they broke the surface right would the lip of two of the rims and gouged the face of one of them. They just shrugged and said to get them re-furbed, but they were 18mths old and absolutely unmarked.

I had a place put the tyre back on the rim, and not fit a new tyre as the way I'd seen them fit a tyre to the vehicle prior to me. Speak to the place you trust to do your service, if you trust them to do a good job, then they'll know who to use, and who to avoid (hopefully).
