Help Chimera screeches when on full steering lock!

I have not been able to trace the problem when my Chimera is on full lock there is a very undesirable screeching noise has anyone experienced this problem or can you point me in a direction to solve this problem

Put some more PAS fluid in the reservoir, it's possibly low. They can tend to do it regardless of level as you're normally only on full lock at low revs and therefore the system has the lowest pressure to feed the rack which is at highest extension . . . bit of rev's help move the fluid and quell the noise and the exhaust drowns it all out anyway

Thanks for your help of course that makes sense steering is no problem when travelling on the road it is only a problem when turning a full lock at low speed.
I will top it up straight away.

Are you sure it's not the belt slipping when on full lock?

I had exactly the same a few months ago and it was, as suggested above, low fluid.
After a top up it was fine.

If yours is the same don't forget to work out why the fluid level has dropped.
I had a tiny leak from one hose which was wasily fixed by tightening up the hose clip.
