Chimera tyres-UPGRADE

Hi folks,

I'm in the final stages of rebuilding an accident damaged 1998 4.5 Chimera. The car came with a warn set of TOYOs. They are 205-55-15s on the front and 225-55-16 on the rear. According to the TVR bible as the car has PAS you can go up to 215-50-ZR 15s and 245-45-ZR 16. I am looking at the TOYO ProxesT1-R and Goodyear Egal GSD3s. Does anyone have any experience driving with these tyres? I would be interested to hear from you.

I have the Toyo T1R's on the back and have been very happy with the levels of grip and wear rate of the tyres. 3 years and 25000 miles after fitting my first set, I have just fitted some new ones on the back. I have Dunlop SP9000s on the front.

I've recently put T1-R's on the back (16's) and CF1's (15) on the front (as they don't make the T1-R in anything smaller than 16).

They're significantly better than the Bridgestones I had on the car beforehand - would highly recommend

Haven't really used in the wet yet, but I'm doing the TVRCC wet grip day @ Rockingham on Sat afternoon so feel free to PM me and I'll let you know...
