Motorcycle Crash Helmet on Car Track day?

What kind of Skid Lid to I need for a TVR Track day? Can I use my bike lid? It only has a BS sticker on it (No ACU Gold or Silver sticker on it)

I did a track day in my Scooby P1 and they never checked.

Should be OK I would guess but maybe a quick phone call to ask them wouldn't hurt.....

How old is it? IIRC they have a 3 yr life (for validation)?

Just had a look in it ... 4th Quarter 1999

don't really want to buy a new one as I no longer ride a bike and doubt if I will go on many track days.

Cuch, is a reputable make? - I think for track days it doesn't matter too much with regards FIA approval. It's your nut after all.......

Last one I went on, they didn't check apart from the fact that you are wearing one (mine's a bike lid too). If you are racing then you must have a proper approved one. Track days? It doesn't usually matter.

It should be an MSA approved helmet, which are dictated by the circuits that have to comply with MSA regs as well as TVRCC. For 2004 that means -
BS6658:1985 Type A / FR (not type B)
Snell SA2000
or Snell SA 95, SFI 31.1, SFI 31.2 but it's stated that these last few may be withdrawn next year.

I got a Sparco Club for 55 quid (my quid sign key is kcufed) and has BS6658typeA, but it's open face. My teeth would probably be safer in my ECE5 bike helmet but regs is regs. They didn't actually check my helmet on two days last year, but one day they probably will and you won't get a refund.
