TVR - Top Gear 1st August

Apparently loads of filming took place at the old Bristol Avenue factory, something to do with the decline of the British Sports Car. I think filming took place in March of this year.

Does anyone know when the episode will be/was shown?

Tomorrow is episode 5/6 with no mention of it on the schedule, so it is probably next weeks episode.

You have to! for all the obvious, stereotypical TVR bashing they have done JC did love the Cerb. Hopefully they will have something balanced to say on the whole story but I doubt it

Next weeks show is worth watching anyway just to see the 458....

I hope it's suitably respectful to the marque and the importance of TVR to the British sports car industry.

I'm very proud to be able to say that I've been privileged enough to look out onto my drive and see a TVR for the last 23 years.

Every time, every single time, I've felt good about that.

Looked at my Tamora tonight and smiled.

Anyone know the Videoplus number (do they still even do Videoplus numbers?).

I gotta record this.

Whatever Top Gear do to TVR it's not going to stop any of us being less enthusiastic about our cars.

Let us view with the knowledge that it doesn't matter because there is nothing short of 100k that will give so much fun, OK there are some options but it's not a competition.

Tonights episode was pretty good - best one of the series so far. Let's hope the TVR one follows suit....

Last top gear one ended with the large one sat in a speed 12 saying the "boy done good" or words to that effect with reference to Trevor Wilkinson.

Why is the Lotus in that group? I can understand the S series and Jensen being sheds but the Elan was a good car?

I think you miss the point. The TVR had a shed put into it, no one's saying it's a shed. Anyway the Elan in question was considered a bit of a dog and if I remember correctly even front wheel drive?

It's just typical TG farting around, take some sports cars to the garden centre and see how stupid you can make them look. The Elan gets some huge terracotta pots in it!

No way I had one of the Elans and it was a cracking car, fantastic chassis compared to the other two even if it was FWD.
